Weed Science Program

May-August 2025

The Extension Weed Science program at UKREC in Princeton, Kentucky, is looking for a summer intern for the 2025 growing season. The program focuses on control and management of some of Kentucky's most troublesome weeds in corn, soybean and wheat. Tasks of the position includes, but is not limited to: assisting with herbicide efficacy applications, evaluations of weed densities, weed identification, plot maintenance, weed biomass collection, weed seed sample processing, and assistance in setup of the Pest Management Field Day and KATS Field Day. The individual should be willing to work outdoors during Kentucky summer weather conditions. We are glad to work with any individual requiring specific benchmarks to achieve internship credit at their undergraduate university.
